President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction and landscaping projects on New Uzbekistan Street in Tashkent city on September 10th. This was reported by the President's press service.

The street, being 11 kilometers long and 86 meters wide, has become one of the largest roads in recent years. Considering the expansion of the city and the tourism potential of the Tashkent region, its future is also promising.
Therefore, based on the decision of our state leader on June 30, 2022, it was planned to construct a business center on New Uzbekistan Street and to develop the infrastructure along the road. Accordingly, a directorate was established, and an architectural concept was developed.

According to the project, modern residential buildings, a hotel, shopping and service complexes in harmony with the national spirit will be constructed on both sides of the street. Recreational and amusement places, pedestrian and bicycle paths will be formed.

As is known, the "Tashkent-East" airport and the Olympic village are also being constructed here. Our President had instructed to landscape the surroundings of these facilities and the roads leading to them.

During this visit, proposals for landscape design in this area were reviewed. According to it, both sides of New Uzbekistan Street will be further beautified. Trees and shrubs such as sycamore, maple, tulip tree, catalpa, pisardia, cypress, Indian lilac, lavender, and Damask rose will be planted in decorative forms. Two fountains will be constructed in front of the airport. Overall, this area will be a part of Tashkent's "green belt".

The state leader made recommendations on the landscape composition. He emphasized the need for harmony between ecology, quality, and culture.
