The Bureau of the French National Assembly has approved a draft resolution to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Emmanuel Macron, reports zamon.uz.
It is noted that, the National Assembly Bureau has approved a plan to remove Emmanuel Macron from power.
The proposal to remove Macron was put forward by the "La France Insoumise" left-wing party. Now, in the National Assembly Bureau, the supreme collegial body of the parliament's lower house, out of 22 members, 12 are representatives of the left party, and as reported , all 12 of them voted for the resolution.
If the resolution passes this stage, a joint session of both chambers of the parliament will be held. Should at least 617 out of 925 deputies support this resolution, Macron will have to immediately resign from the presidency.
