The leaders of Great Britain and France have called for increasing pressure on Russia. This was reported by The Guardian.
According to the report, Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron stated the need to impose new sanctions against Moscow to increase pressure and halt hostilities in Ukraine.
"We must direct our actions toward preparing for peace, which we can achieve by forcing Putin to negotiate. Coordinated pressure will yield results," said Starmer.
Macron also urged allies to further intensify pressure on Russia.
The leaders of Great Britain and France are chairing a meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing." The meeting is being held in a hybrid format—Starmer and Macron are participating from NATO's command center in Northwood, UK.
