The Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khojaev, is leading our country’s delegation in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
During the visit, a meeting was held with Mahmood Jamjoom, the chairman of "Jamjoom Pharma" company. The meeting discussed issues related to the registration within Uzbekistan of 30 types of medicinal products manufactured by the company.
In addition, the prospects of constructing a modern pharmaceutical factory in the “Tashkent Pharma Park” area with direct investment and launching it in the third quarter of 2025 were examined.
At the conclusion of the conversation, a mutual cooperation agreement was signed regarding this project.
Furthermore, the “InterHealth Hospital Medical” company, assisted by Korea's EDSF fund, proposed transferring management under a user-pay model for the services provided to the construction project of a multi-disciplinary center for adults in Tashkent city, Yashnobod district, along with the Fergana and Kokand branches of the Republic specialized scientific-practical medical center of oncology and medical radiology.
Consequently, under the sponsorship of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, it was agreed to perform catheterization and open heart surgery operations on patients ranging from 100 to 150 during an 8-day visit of doctors to the Academician V.Vohidov Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Surgery in October this year.
