President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation today, 24 June.

During the conversation, the heads of state emphasized the importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The sides noted with satisfaction that practical cooperation between the two countries, particularly in trade and economic ties, industrial cooperation, energy, transport, ecology, agriculture, and water management, is developing at a high pace.

Active dialogues and exchanges at all levels were also particularly recognized. The heads of state stressed that the close cooperation established between the administrations of the presidents of the two countries serves to timely implement the reached agreements and enrich the bilateral partnership agenda with new initiatives and projects.

During the conversation, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also exchanged views on pressing issues of regional policy. Additionally, the plan for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events was reviewed.
