A citizen of Uzbekistan, who was internationally wanted, has been arrested in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Polisia.kz here.
Prior to this, the individual had been working as the head of an enterprise in the Tashkent region and has been wanted since November 2023.
“Between 2021-2023, he forged documents for the repair of multi-storey buildings, stealing an amount of 180.5 million Uzbek sum,” the report states.
Kazakhstan law enforcement officers successfully arrested the wanted individual in the city of Kaskelen.
As of now, the date for the extradition of the arrested individual to Uzbekistan has not been determined.
