Earlier, social media spread reports of a teacher in Tashkent treating a cat cruelly. The Press Service of the Tashkent City Department of Public Education officially responded
It was reported that on September 27 of this year, around 17:30, students of class 7-"G" of school No. 62 in Uchtepa district brought a cat into their mother tongue lesson on their own initiative. As a result, the teacher, D. H., threw the cat out of the window to prevent the students from being distracted during the lesson.
When the cat was examined by a veterinarian, it was found to have sustained no serious injury.
However, "Ecolog" NGO volunteers have sued the teacher for accountability. Uchtepa district court fined the teacher 375,000 UZS under Article 111 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
Despite this, the "Ecolog" team declared this fine to be very low. It was noted that the thrown cat died due to serious injuries, including spinal damage.
"Not only did teacher D.H. cause the death of one animal, but worse, he had a significant negative impact on the children's psyches. In our opinion, he is not fit to carry on a teaching profession,"- the report states.
