Women from Uzbekistan's Bolajonim project, aimed at early detection and treatment of autism in children, not only received its initial funding but also made history as the first team from Uzbekistan to win the TechWomen award. This was reported by team member Dilbar Umarova on her Facebook page.
TechWomen is a professional exchange program that assists women around the world in developing their potential in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. It is open to girls from 21 countries. This year, the program received the highest number of candidates in its history – 6000 applicants, with 100 of them being selected to travel and study in the USA.
