The Berlin State Library holds a magnificent album related to the Mughals; one side contains ghazals, while the other side features miniatures .
The interesting part is that the ghazals in the album are attributed to Alisher Navoiy and Husayn Bayqara and are written in the Turkic language.
- Although the Mughal dynasty has a ruling history of over three hundred years, they never forgot their ancestors, their nation, or their language. Conversations in the court may have been in Persian, Hindi, or another language, but the most serious issues were resolved in the Turkic language, and many Turkic manuscripts were copied. It has been revealed that while 25 of these albums are preserved in the Berlin State Library in Germany, nearly 100 others are in the United Kingdom, the USA, the Czech Republic, and Iran.
The initiative to repatriate examples of Uzbekistan's cultural heritage that have spread abroad is being implemented on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Efforts to collect facsimiles of all scattered parts of the album related to the Mughals and bring them back to Uzbekistan are ongoing, — said Firdavs Abduholiqov, director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
The scientific news-filled week will continue until October 26.
