On October 22nd, at an event held at the National Agency for Social Protection, Paralympic champion in para athletics Asila Mirzayeva was introduced as the Agency's Special Representative for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities here.
“Our agency family has been joined by another Paralympic champion, our daughter. We had intended to work together with Asila in Paris. Today, our intention has come true: Asila Mirzayeva became the Agency's Special Representative. Welcome to the Agency family, Asila! Asila is a very strong and intelligent girl. Asila will work on protecting the rights of persons with disabilities. Now our team includes champion girls like Diyorah and Asila. I believe: we have become stronger and together we will conquer new heights!” – said Shakhnoza Mirziyoeva
At the event, the Paralympic champion expressed her gratitude for the high trust, explaining the reason for agreeing to become the agency's special representative as follows:
“For me, starting work as a special representative for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities is a great honor and responsibility. This role gives me the opportunity to contribute to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and to create equal opportunities. As a Paralympic athlete, I know how to overcome physical and social barriers and believe that every person should be an equal member of society.”- the Paralympic champion emphasized.
In turn, Asila Mirzayeva, expressed her pleasure in contributing to creating an inclusive environment in her new role as a special representative, by collaborating with state and public organizations.
