The former deputy governor of Andijan region — the head of the regional department of investments, industry, and trade, Botirjon Hamroev, has been subjected to a detention measure.  

During the inspections carried out at his residence, he was summoned for investigation and detained procedurally due to embezzlement of budget funds, abuse of official powers, and other cases.

According to the source, during the search of the house, an amount of three million dollars was found.

Currently, investigative actions are being carried out against Botirjon Hamroev.
