Uzbekistan's newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Abat Fayzullaev (based in the city of Rome) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, reports the "Dunyo" IA.
The leader of the Republic of Cyprus, in his speech during the ceremony of accepting credentials from foreign diplomats, sincerely congratulated the new ambassadors and wished them success in fulfilling their duties, and also expressed hope that they would make a worthy contribution to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations.
The President of the Republic of Cyprus emphasized the prospects of relations with Uzbekistan. "We pay special attention to developing bilateral relations with Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation within the framework of the European Union," said President Nikos Christodoulides.
It is reminded that diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Cyprus were established on May 30, 1997.
