Messages on social networks stating “If electricity consumption exceeds 200 kilowatts, each kilowatt will be charged not at 900 UZS, but at 540 UZS” are being circulated.
“Regional Electric Networks” JSC announced that this message is completely baseless.
It is stated in the messages that "In the billing period, if consumers (excluding residential consumers) allow their electricity consumption to exceed the contractual amount by 20% or more, an additional payment twice the established tariff will be charged for the excess electricity consumed."
It turns out, based on the relevant government decree, this regulation applies only to legal entities.
"We ask the administrators and owners of various social network channels not to spread such baseless messages," the report says.
