Last night, the first death of a patient from bird flu in the USA caused various concerns. One day after this event, the conclusion of the World Health Organization was announced. This was reported by the Ministry of HealthPress Service.

According to the report, the majority of people infected with the H5N1 virus are agricultural workers. Specifically, the patient who died from bird flu in Louisiana was involved in the care of domestic animals and wild birds.

He was of an elderly age and had been suffering from some comorbid diseases.

WHO representative Margaret Harris, speaking at a press conference in Geneva about this virus, assessed the risk of it becoming an epidemic as low.

Nevertheless, it was emphasized that it is appropriate to intensify precautionary measures among those involved in livestock, primarily in areas where disease outbreaks have been identified.

It is reminded that cases of bird flu transmission to humans have also been recorded in Australia, Canada, China, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
