The capital Tashkent has once again witnessed a scandal involving fake “masters”. This time, a criminal group of 12 people, who had been operating in the “Automobile Spare Parts” market in the Uchtepa district, was exposed by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Who are they? Simply put – “businessmen” engaged in swindling behind the front of a workshop. They have taken many people's cars to “repair”, then installed spare parts without the owner's consent. They have extorted from numerous people, demanding $13,300 for a $600 job.
They did not provide good service – they intimidated. They did not quote a fair price kindly – they took the keys and pressured. They did not show good craftsmanship – they sold fake services at triple the price.
Worst of all: they threatened the customer who demanded their right. In another case – they installed parts in someone's car as they pleased and demanded 15 million soms. They pressurized by not returning the keys. And that's not all.
From two other citizens, they took 70 million soms without fulfilling the promised work. This is not just mere craftsmanship – this is openly an “authoritative” workshop.
Currently, all suspects have been detained. Investigations are being conducted concerning their actions. The State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are urging citizens to be vigilant regarding this matter.
