According to the report from the Ministry of Justice, keeping wild animals that are banned from being held in semi-free conditions, artificially created living environments, or captivity by individuals, will result in the confiscation of such animals and imposition of fines ranging from 5 to 10 times the base fine amount (from 1 million 875 thousand to 3 million 750 thousand UZS).

Similarly, if such violation leads to harm to people's health, or damage to the property of legal and physical persons, provided that there are no signs of criminal activity, the confiscation of such animals and imposing fines on citizens ranging from 30 to 50 times the base fine amount (from 11 million 250 thousand to 18 million 750 thousand UZS) is intended.

Previously, such a norm did not exist.

In addition, violation of the rules for keeping animals in cities and other settlements, as well as the failure by officials to take measures for catching and keeping stray animals, will result in imposing fines on citizens from 3 to 5 times the base fine amount (from 1 million 125 thousand to 1 million 875 thousand UZS) and on officials from 5 to 10 times the base fine amount (from 1 million 875 thousand to 3 million 750 thousand UZS).

Additionally, if such a violation leads to harm to people's health or damage to the property of legal and physical persons, provided that there are no signs of criminal activity, fines for citizens from 10 to 15 times the base fine amount (from 3 million 750 thousand to 5 million 625 thousand UZS) and for officials from 15 to 30 times the base fine amount (from 5 million 625 thousand to 11 million 250 thousand UZS) are anticipated.

The law will come into effect from the day it is officially announced.
