Regarding the situation, studies were conducted in collaboration between the Sanitary-Epidemiological Service of the Khovos district and the Inspection for Control in the Construction and Housing and Communal Services Sector of the Syrdarya region
As a result, inspections on the quality of drinking water were carried out in the neighborhoods of “Khovosobod”, “Gulbahor”, “Qahramon”, “25 Years of Independence”, “Okchangal”, and in certain streets’ houses and schools.
Specifically:
• Totuvlik Street, house 45,
• Zomin Street, house 66,
• Gulbahor neighborhood, school No. 6,
• Nurchilar Street, house 12,
• “25 Years of Independence” neighborhood, school No. 17,
• Olchazor Street, house 32,
• Obod Street, house 36.
The initial laboratory analyses indicated that certain indicators were above the established standards. On this basis, a working group was organized by the Sanitary-Epidemiological Service of the Khovos district and flushing and disinfection activities for the drinking water systems were conducted in the areas mentioned above.
After the measures taken, when samples were taken again from these areas and laboratory analyses were carried out, the quality of drinking water was confirmed to fully meet the sanitary and hygiene requirements and be suitable for use by the population.
