For the first time, higher education institutions of Uzbekistan have been included in the list of the world’s most prestigious universities according to the "Times Higher Education" organization's interpretation. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of Uzbekistan reported this.
According to the information, in the ranking, the National Research University of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers was listed between the 301–400 places in the field of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, and between 501–600 places in the field of Engineering.
The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek found its place between 601–800 in the field of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics. Tashkent University of Information Technologies secured a spot in the field of Education in the 601+ ranking, and in the field of Computer Sciences and Programming Technologies, it secured a 1001+ place.
In the list of the world's most prestigious natural sciences universities, the University of California, Harvard, Stanford, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are leading. In the best IT universities ranking, Oxford, Cambridge, and MIT have secured their places.
In the "Times Higher Education" ranking, universities are evaluated based on the quality of teaching, prospects for students and graduates, and other parameters.
