Where is the Quran manuscript copied in the Chagatai language located?

An ancient manuscript of the Quran, written in the Chagatai language, is currently preserved in the Mashhad museum in Iran.

The great statesman, poet, and scholar Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur approached the Holy Quran and Islamic sciences with great respect. His two decrees include more than 50 verses from the Quran, demonstrating this great figure's profound knowledge and enlightened nature. These decrees, in Persian, have been translated and published as a six-volume collection with the help of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and the International Public Foundation named after Babur found here.

Babur Mirzo simplified the Arabic alphabet and named it “Khatt-e Baburi”. He copied the Holy Quran in this script and sent it to Mecca. The ancient manuscript of the Quran written in Khatt-e Baburi is currently preserved in the Mashhad museum in Iran.  

This rare edition opens new opportunities for studying Babur Mirzo's scientific activities and is intended to be exhibited in the Quran section of the Museum of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
