The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on his social media page that he had a “friendly” conversation with the President of Mexico.
"President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum has promised to send 10,000 troops to stop the smuggling of narcotics and the flow of illegal migrants at the US border. The future of customs tariffs on Mexican goods will be discussed with the government of this country in negotiations involving US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. I am eagerly looking forward to participating in these negotiations," — wrote the President of the United States.
