On February 1st of this year, in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent city, a man attacked his wife with a knife.
At the woman's screams, a neighbor came out and called for an ambulance. Thanks to the promptness of the doctors, the victim survived and is currently undergoing treatment at one of the city hospitals.
According to the victim, on February 1st of this year, her husband started a fight, and then stabbed her 25 times in various parts of her body. The dispute was triggered by the man's intention to sell the apartment they were living in. He told his wife he intended to sell the house, leaving her and their two children out on the street.
"I didn't expect this from him. I told him I was against selling the apartment, asked him where I was supposed to go with two children? And when I entered the room, I felt the first stab from behind. I demand the most severe punishment for what he did," said the victim.
An attempted murder case has been initiated by the Yangihayot district prosecutor's office. According to articles 25, 97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the suspect has been detained in procedural order, and investigative actions are being taken.
