US President Donald Trump promised to take steps to ensure that transgender individuals do not participate in women's competitions at the Olympics to be held in Los Angeles in 2028. CNN reported this.

Trump signed a decree banning the participation of transgender individuals in sports events at educational institutions where women and girls compete.

“From now on, women's sports will be exclusively for women,” Trump said before signing the document at the White House.

According to his words, in recent years, thousands of transgender individuals have participated in women's competitions in the US. In addition, the President also reminded of the incident where two boxers, suspected to be biological males, were allowed to compete in women’s competitions at the recently held Olympics in Paris.

“Today, all of this will be put to an end,” Trump assured.

According to him, the measures considered by the White House will prevent transgender individuals from entering competitions in all state-funded schools and colleges in the US.

“If we find out we missed any gaps, we will prepare an additional order,” promised the American President.

He also promised to take measures to ensure that transgender individuals do not participate in women's competitions at the Olympics to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.

“We will not allow this to happen, and no one can hinder us,” said the head of state.

Trump's order requires the Department of Education to warn educational institutions if their administration allows students born as boys to compete with women, this may be considered a violation of a federal law banning gender discrimination within education programs. Institutions that allow violations will no longer receive federal funding. Moreover, the American government also encourages other sports associations not related to schools and colleges to apply similar rules.

Additionally, the US State Department is given instructions to check the visas of athletes entering the US, to ensure that those born male do not declare themselves as female.
The order was signed on the first week of February, which is celebrated as the National Girls and Women in Sports Day in the US.

In twenty states of America, bans on transgender athletes are already in place, some require showing medical prescriptions and undergoing hormonal therapy for a year, while others do not have any restrictions.

According to the “Associated Press” (AP) agency, during Trump's election campaign, his promise to “keep men out of women's sports” became popular regardless of party preferences. An AP survey showed that more than half of the respondents believe the government has gone too far in supporting the rights of transgender individuals.

On January 29, Trump banned gender reassignment surgeries for minors under the age of 19 in the US.
