The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington and our country's Consulate General in New York have been closely collaborating with the relevant US law enforcement agencies for many years with the goal of ensuring the safe deportation of Uzbek citizens to their homeland. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Ahror Burhanov here.
"Based on our agreements, the American side promptly informs us about each case of our citizens being deported. According to established practice, our citizens return to the homeland via the New York-Tashkent route.
We are monitoring information in the media about the possibility of Uzbek citizens being deported to other countries. On this issue, our diplomatic missions have requested information from the American side about the possibility of deportations to other countries. Furthermore, diplomatic channels have also been established with Latin American countries in this regard, - the report says.
