On February 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accepted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi.

At the beginning of the conversation, the minister conveyed the sincere greetings and letter of the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, to our country's leader.

Issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, primarily the potential of partnership in trade-economic and investment-financial sectors, were considered.

The activation of interdepartmental and business relations was noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade is increasing, the number of joint ventures is growing, and business events involving leading companies of the two countries are being held regularly.

Special attention was given to expanding the portfolio of the Uzbekistan-Oman investment company through new cooperation projects.

The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum will be held in April of this year.

Furthermore, the importance of developing inter-parliamentary connections, cultural-humanitarian exchanges, and the establishment of a direct flight route was emphasized.

Regional agenda, including the preparations for the second summit of the "Central Asia - Gulf States" dialogue to be held in the city of Samarkand in May of this year, was discussed.
