Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine is aiming for peace and is ready to work in this direction under «President Trump's strong leadership».

Zelensky made this known in a post on social network X at this link.

None of us want a never-ending war. Ukraine is ready to sit down at the negotiation table as soon as possible to achieve a reliable peace. No one wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under President Trump's strong leadership to achieve a solid peace. We are ready to act swiftly to end the war…, — wrote the President of Ukraine on social network X.

"We are ready to act swiftly to end the war, and as first steps, it's possible to release prisoners, stop immediate aerial firing: banning the bombing of missiles, long-range drones, energy and other civilian infrastructure and immediately stopping firing at sea, if Russia does the same. After that, we want to move through all the next stages very swiftly and reach a solid final agreement with the USA,"  — Zelensky continued in his post.

"Our meeting on Friday in Washington, at the White House, did not go as expected. This is regrettable. Now is the time to set everything right. We wish for our future cooperation and dialogue to be constructive," — wrote the President of Ukraine.

"Speaking of agreements on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any convenient format. We consider this agreement a step towards strengthening security and reliable guarantees and truly hope for its effective implementation,"— Zelensky wrote.

Let us remind you that Zelensky and Trump had a contentious conversation at the White House. Trump, aggravated by this, stopped Ukraine's assistance. After that, concerns arose in Kyiv that without the help of the USA, Ukraine could lose even more territories.
