Dr. LouAnn Woodward, Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, said in a press conference that the helicopter was returning to Columbus from patient transport around 12:30 when it crashed in Madison County.
“The entire Medical Center family is saddened by this,” Woodward said.
