President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Vocational Skills Regional Center built in the city of Urgench.

The complex was built with a grant of 9 million dollars from the Korea International Cooperation Agency - KOICA. Modern equipment and simulation devices necessary for modern professions have been brought and installed. Here, technical service for automobiles, welding, crane operating, repair of electronic and household appliances, furniture making, hairdressing and cosmetology, mobile graphics, and hotel services, among other 10 highly demanded specialties, are taught.

For this purpose, modern educational buildings, practical training rooms, a 64-bed dormitory, and other auxiliary facilities have been constructed on an area of almost 2 hectares. The institution has the capacity to train 300 students annually in 6 months of professional training courses.

The President visited the training rooms and had a heartfelt conversation with the youth studying in the hotel management direction.

"We will bring Urgench airport to world standards in partnership with Incheon airport. We are building major tourism centers, hotels. Now the service for foreign tourists must be at an international level. They come for our history, our nature; if the service is good, they leave happy. Much depends on the attitude, ethics, and skill level of the service providers. So take advantage of this opportunity and learn your profession well. Try to become entrepreneurs in the future," - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In the center, specialties in servicing electric vehicles have also been established in cooperation with the Migration Agency and Korea's Hyundai and Germany's SBH West. This provides the possibility to produce qualified specialists that meet the demands of both domestic and foreign labor markets.

International cooperation has been widely established. In January of this year, the management staff of the center completed a two-week training course in the Republic of Korea. Currently, more than 20 teachers and trainers are upgrading their qualifications in this country.

The state leader emphasized that skilled professional training is the basis of industrialization and, in general, the development of the country. Instructions were given on efficient use of practical equipment, wisely organizing shift classes, and training more youth.

Our President concluded his visit to Khorezm and returned to Tashkent.
