Ukraine has accepted the US's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. This was announced in a statement by Zelensky.
"In our meeting with America, our proposal included three things: stopping attacks through missiles, bombs, long-range drones, and taking real steps to strengthen mutual trust in the situation where diplomatic efforts are ongoing, primarily through the release of prisoners. The US side understands our evidences, accepts our proposals, and I would like to express my gratitude to President Trump for the constructiveness of the dialogue between our teams."
Today's dialogue with Washington proposed yet another step forward — to strive for a complete ceasefire for 30 days, not just concerning missiles, drones, and bombs, but also in the Black Sea, as well as along the entire front line. Ukraine accepts this proposal positively. The United States has to convince Russia of this. That is, if the Russians agree, we will also agree, then peace will come into effect," — emphasized the President of Ukraine
