The Israeli army carried out airstrikes on the positions of the "Hezbollah" movement in southern Lebanon. These attacks were carried out following the firing of rockets from Lebanon towards Israel, reports "Zamon.uz".
According to the Israeli command, the strikes targeted military facilities and command centers belonging to "Hezbollah". The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that two people, including one child, were killed and eight people were injured.
"Hezbollah" denied launching rocket attacks on Israel, emphasizing its adherence to the ceasefire agreement. Meanwhile, the Lebanese army announced the destruction of three devices intended for launching rockets in the south of the country.
These strikes occurred during the negotiations for a ceasefire conducted by the USA and France. According to the terms of peace, the Lebanese army should strengthen control in the south, move "Hezbollah" fighters north, and Israeli military forces should withdraw from Lebanese territory.
However, Israel has indicated it will continue the strikes to prevent the rearmament of "Hezbollah" forces. These events happened several days after Israel resumed military operations against "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip.
