With the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, three compatriots who were in a difficult situation in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have returned to Uzbekistan, reports "Dunyo" IA.
According to the information received from the Consulate General, our compatriots I.Kh., I.G., and his underage child I.M. arrived in the UAE on December 22, 2024, following an invitation from a close relative and settled in a rented apartment in the city of Dubai. Over time, they have been living in the UAE without obtaining a visa, thereby residing illegally.
The person who invited the guests to the UAE cut off communication after informing them that he would be leaving for Qatar on February 23. At the beginning of March, the landlord demanded the rent payment, threatening to evict our compatriots to the street if the payment was not made.
During the conversation with our compatriots, it became clear that they lacked housing, food, and funds to return to their homeland.
The employees of the Consulate General, along with the "Women and Children Aid Center" charity organization and active compatriots in the Emirates, provided all necessary assistance to our compatriots in need.
The debt of 2,178 USD accumulated during their illegal stay in the UAE was positively resolved through negotiations with the relevant authorities of this country.
The national airline "Uzbekistan Airways'" office in the UAE issued tickets for the "Dubai-Tashkent" flight to our compatriots' family without any charges, facilitating their return home.
