Uzbekistan has ranked 64th among 110 countries in the ranking of the quality of health care systems with a score of 36.26, according to Ranking.
The closer the index is to 100, the better the health care system of the country is considered.
In the context of CIS and Central Asia, Uzbekistan is in the middle of the list:
- Russia (42nd place);
- Azerbaijan (57th place);
- Belarus (61st place);
- Uzbekistan (64th place);
- Ukraine (76th place);
- Kazakhstan (78th place);
- Turkmenistan (95th place).
Taiwan, South Korea, and Australia have been recognized as having the best health care systems, while Salvador, Honduras, and Nepal have been recognized as having the worst.
Health Care System Quality Index
This index encompasses a statistical analysis of the overall quality of the health care system. It includes factors such as health care infrastructure, the competency of medical professionals (doctors, nurses, and other medical staff); the cost of medical services (in US dollars per capita), accessibility to quality medicines, and the government's readiness to act in this area are taken into account. Other factors such as the environmental condition, the level of access to clean drinking water are also considered.
