On social networks, there are unfounded speculations and assumptions that the building at 32 Press House Street in Tashkent city, also known as the “Press House,” has supposedly been ceded not to journalists but to some investor, and that its ownership was taken from the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA), which does not correspond to the truth.

According to the State Asset Management Agency, as of now, the sale of “Press House” buildings and facilities is not planned, and UzA is considered the sole entity maintaining it on its balance.

Furthermore, a modern “Media City” will soon be established in and around the “Press House” buildings and facilities, where all periodical print publication editorial offices will be located.
