Part of New Uzbekistan Avenue closed

Due to the construction of an underground tunnel around the Olympic Village, a section of New Uzbekistan Avenue has been closed to traffic for four months.

Due to the start of construction of an underground tunnel around the Olympic Village on New Uzbekistan Avenue in Tashkent, traffic will be restricted on part of the street. This was reported by the press service of the city administration. 

It is noted that from April 13 to September 1, the section from the CAEX exhibition complex to the entrance to the New Uzbekistan Park will be closed.

"The capital's khokimiyat apologized for the inconvenience," the message says.

Which areas were previously temporarily closed?

Due to the holding of sports competitions in Tashkent, New Uzbekistan Street will be closed from 00:00 to 16:00 on April 13.

In addition, traffic on the section of Sultoniya Street in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district from the intersection of the Great Silk Road to Sultoniya 5th Lane will be partially restricted until April 30.

Also, the section of Qorasaroy Street in the Almazar district from Abdulla Qodiriy Street to the intersection with Nurafshon Street is closed to vehicles until September.
