A large-scale community work day will be held in the city of Tashkent on the 12-13th of April, the capital's city hall press service reports.

As noted, the community work day will include activities such as cleaning the areas around multi-storey buildings and public areas, beautification, and increasing green spaces.

It is emphasized that all districts of the capital will be organized, trees will be planted, and courtyards will be decorated.

"This is our common contribution to the prosperity and cleanliness of our beloved city. Dear Tashkent residents! We invite you to actively participate in the community work day. Maintaining cleanliness is a tradition of the big city, a sign of respect for ourselves, our neighbors, and our dear Tashkent," the message says.

For your information, according to the legislation of Uzbekistan, the community work day is organized and held voluntarily under the following conditions:

- only if there is a relevant document from the president or a government decision regarding the organization of the nationwide community work day;

- strict adherence to labor protection and safety standards;

- beautification, landscaping, organizing workplaces without forcefully involving the public in public works, including construction and repair, and agricultural works.

The self-governing bodies of citizens only organize voluntary participation of the population in beautification and landscaping within the relevant neighborhood area, equipping children and sports playgrounds, preserving material-cultural heritage objects in necessary condition, building, reconstructing, repairing, and keeping cemeteries in necessary condition.
