On the morning of April 14th, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck near the city of Meithilä in central Myanmar. This was reported by abc news.
It is noted that this earthquake was one of the strongest after the strong 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred in central Myanmar on March 28.
According to the Myanmar Meteorological Service, the depth of the earthquake that occurred today is estimated at 20 km, while the US Geological Survey estimates it at 7.7 km.
There are currently no reports of serious casualties or fatalities. As a result of the previous earthquake, 3,649 people died and 5,018 were injured.
