Today, April 24, the heads of the foreign ministries of Russia and Uzbekistan held talks in Samarkand. This was reported by the press service of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level.
The heads of the two states agreed to continue close cooperation between the foreign ministries in the implementation of the instructions given by them on strengthening allied relations and strategic partnership, developing political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, deepening cultural and humanitarian ties, and continuing close interaction within the framework of multilateral structures.
In addition, special emphasis was placed on expanding cooperation in the fields of education, innovation, infrastructure, regional security, and other areas. Ways to stimulate mutual investments and intensify business ties between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed.
