The sixth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis will be held on April 29, 2025. The Senate Council decided on this at its next meeting held on April 28 of this year.
During the plenary session, a series of laws aimed at improving the country's economy, social protection, ecological sustainability, healthcare, defense, and judicial system will be discussed.
Among them are:
“On the Sanitation and Liquidation of Banks” Law: aimed at improving the health of the financial market and stabilizing the operation of banks.
“On Limiting the Emission of Greenhouse Gases” Law: aimed at ensuring ecological sustainability, controlling the circulation of carbon units, and monitoring the emission of greenhouse gases.
“On the State Defense Order” Law: aimed at strengthening national defense and security, defining the formation and execution of state defense orders.
Additionally, issues such as social services, enforcement of court documents, and regulation of tobacco and nicotine products will also be discussed. The new laws will serve to protect the population from harmful habits and to strengthen state security.
During the session, the ratification of the Treaty on Alliance Relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan and decisions on the development of agriculture are also expected to be made.
