On social networks, there were reports about a woman who left her child in Loish neighborhood of Pastdargom district in Samarkand region with one blanket and 2-3 pieces of clothing. A note was found in the child's pocket reading “Name is Odilbek, 7 months old, please, take care of him, I am going abroad”.
According to the official response of the Child Ombudsman, it has indeed been confirmed that a woman left her 7-month-old child on the street of a neighborhood in Pastdargom district of Samarkand region and went into hiding. An investigation is currently being conducted by the district’s Department of Internal Affairs.
The child has been placed in a children's home for infants in the district. The identity of the woman, who resides in Sirdaryo region, has been determined, and the legal process of evaluating her illegal actions against her child is ongoing.
