A major road accident occurred in Sri Lanka. A passenger bus traveling in the south of the country fell from a cliff approximately 100 meters high. As a result of the incident, at least 21 people were killed, and more than 35 passengers were hospitalized with various degrees of injuries, according to "Zamon.uz". 

Rescuers, police, and medical teams are operating in the area where the incident occurred. It is reported that among the deceased are women and children, but the identities of the victims have not been clarified.

The local authorities have reported that the causes of the accident are being investigated. Preliminary assumptions suggest that the bus driver might have lost control due to the challenging terrain of the road and possibly, technical malfunction.

Sri Lankan officials are calling this tragedy one of the most severe road accidents in recent years.
