On May 8, a presidential decree on "Additional measures to improve the employment system for persons with disabilities" [Decree No. PF-85] was adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported this.
The decree sets the following main objectives:
- to implement a system of special services for the effective activity of persons with disabilities;
- to educate young people with disabilities in modern professions, creating additional opportunities for their entry into the labour market;
- to ensure stable employment and a decent income for 80,000 persons with disabilities by the end of 2025.
From June 1, 2025:
- business entities employing persons with 1st and 2nd group disabilities will be allocated subsidies of up to 50 million soums;
- the subsidy will be allocated to cover the expenses of organizing sign language interpretation, psychological support, and accompanying service;
- individuals are allowed to provide accompanying services as self-employed persons.
Furthermore, the electronic registry of persons with disabilities eligible for work will be maintained in the "Unified National Social Protection" information system.
