The interim government of the “Taliban” in Afghanistan has donated marble in 16 trucks for the construction of the Imam Bukhari complex being built in the city of Samarkand. This was reported by the administration of the Surkhandarya region.
It is noted that yesterday, May 13th, a meeting took place at the Termez International Trade Center. The meeting was attended by representatives including the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatilla Ergashev, the governor of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kosimov, the head of the secretariat of the Prime Minister of the interim government of the “Taliban” in Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, and the governor of Balkh region Muhammad Yusuf Wafa leading the delegations.
During the conversation, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including trade, transport, humanitarian, and cultural relations, was discussed to further expand.
At the end of the meeting, the 16 trucks of white marble from Herat sent for the construction of the Imam Bukhari complex being built in the city of Samarkand were accepted by the Uzbekistan side.
“Such practical cooperation is commendable as it serves to further strengthen the historic closeness, mutual respect, and ties of friendship between the two fraternal peoples,” the report states.
