A 10-month-old baby who was fed lavash and french fries in Tashkent city underwent surgery due to intestinal rot. This was reported by the “Millar” program.
It is noted that a mother coming from a distant region to Tashkent city bought lavash and fried potatoes for lunch on the way. Because the baby was crying and fussing, she chewed the "fast-food" herself and also fed it to her 10-month-old baby. After some time, the baby's condition worsened.
According to the doctor, the baby repeatedly experienced vomiting, blood in the stool, abdominal swelling, and constant pain. Now, due to intestinal rot, several operations are required. Specifically, in the first stage, the rotted part was removed and an intestinal stoma was placed. The baby will live with this stoma for about six months, then another surgery will be performed, and the intestine will be restored.
Moreover, the doctor mentioned that tragic situations have also occurred when babies were given other foods, such as lamb fat or chicken drumsticks. However, it is correct to nourish children up to the age of 3 with breast milk. After passing the age of 1, additional food can be introduced.
