The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met today with the Director-General of ICESCO, Salim bin Muhammad Al-Malik.
"We are pleased to meet with the Director-General of the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science, and Culture (ICESCO), Mr. Salim bin Muhammad Al-Malik," wrote the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on his telegram channel. – We discussed in detail our expanding cooperation.
We applaud ICESCO's promising initiatives, including the designation of the city of Samarkand as the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2025.
Furthermore, we have signed the Action Plan which includes priority directions for deepening cooperation between the Government of Uzbekistan and ICESCO and implementing joint projects in the near future."
