Now, in Uzbekistan, disability pensions will be assigned proactively without the need for a separate application. This was established by the Presidential decree “On introducing proactive services in assigning disability pensions and compensations” adopted on May 27.
According to the decree, from July 1, 2025, the following simplified procedure for assigning state pensions and compensations to citizens will be implemented:
- assigning pensions proactively without the need for a separate application when a citizen is determined to have a disability of group I or II. In this case, the citizen is given the right to refuse the pension assigned proactively;
- assigning compensations proactively based on electronic data exchange to persons with a group I disability in terms of vision and to persons who have served in the military at nuclear test sites and other radiation-nuclear facilities;
- proactively recalculating the amount of the disability pension every 2 years once the citizen has at least 1 year of work experience after being assigned a disability pension.
From October 1, 2025, services related to the state pension provision and cash payments of pensions by JSC “People's Bank” will be carried out through biometric identification (Face-ID) and obtaining their signatures in electronic form.
