Following the negotiations in the city of Samarkand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, adopted a joint declaration on strengthening strategic partnership relations. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
Present at their meeting and signed within the scope of the visit were, among others:
- about encouraging investments and mutual protection;
- about cooperation in the field of strategically important raw materials;
- about cooperation in the field of migration and freedom of movement;
- about cooperation in sustainable development and environmental protection, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage;
- about collaboration with the Climate Fund and the Italian Agricultural Confederation, cooperation with "Sogesid" and "Ansaldo" companies in the field of "green" development;
- a ceremony for the exchange of bilateral agreements on partnerships with Tuscia, Pisa, and Turin universities was also held.
Additionally, within the official visit, a series of documents was signed with the Italian National Research Center, "SIMEST" and "Danieli" companies, the University of Perugia, and other organizations.
