At the end of May, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Great Britain, Canada, and the USA, in collaboration with Europol, conducted a special operation named “Endgame”.
The results of the operation were announced on June 3 by the German Minister of the Interior, Alexander Dobrindt, and the head of the Federal Criminal Police Office, Holger Münch.
According to Münch, Germany is increasingly facing attacks from hackers assessed as "pro-Russian". Dobrindt explained this as a result of Germany's support for Ukraine.
During the “Endgame” operation, 300 servers were shut down, 50 of which were located in Germany. Cryptocurrency worth 3.5 million euros was seized. The identities of 37 criminals were discovered, with international search warrants announced for 20 of them. However, they have not been apprehended since they are in Russia.
Malicious software and botnets such as DanaBot, Bumblebee, Latrodectus, Qakbot, HijackLoader, Warmcookie, and Trickbot were shut down.
