Uzbekistan sent 183 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, humanitarian aid consisting of food products was sent to the people of Afghanistan.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, another humanitarian aid shipment carrying 183 tons of food products was delivered to the Balkh province for the people of Afghanistan. The press service of the Termez city administration  reported this.

These humanitarian cargoes, sent by the order of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, were handed over in the city of Hairatan on the territory of the Astra company by the president’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Ismatilla Irgashev, the governor of the Surkhandarya region, Ulugbek Khasimov, and the deputy governor of the Balkh province, Nurulhoda Abuidris, along with officials from both sides.

The humanitarian aid included flour, rice, sugar, pasta and confectionery products, vegetable oil, instant food, red beans, and mung beans.

“Afghan officials expressed their gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan and its people for the humanitarian aid provided, sending sincere congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha,” the report says.
