The initiatives launched to improve the ecological situation in our capital will no longer remain at the level of one region, but are being elevated to a new and more serious stage across the whole of Uzbekistan.
According to the new Decree, the activity of the special commission established to implement urgent measures to improve the ecological situation in Tashkent city has been extended until March 1, 2027.
An important change, however, is in its status: the commission's name was changed to the Republic Special Commission for the Implementation of Urgent Measures to Improve the Ecological Situation.
What does this mean? Now, pressing ecological tasks such as air purification, installation of industrial filters, and increasing greenery will not be limited only to Tashkent city. The ecological situation on the scale of our entire country will be under the strict supervision and management of this Republic Commission.
The significance of this is that the state is seeking not a temporary or local solution to ecological crises, but rather a systematic, long-term and nationwide strategic solution. This means that in the coming years, we will witness very significant and practical changes across our entire country on the path to creating clean air and a healthy environment. Nature conservation is turning into a nationwide movement.
