In the Parkent district of Tashkent region, a criminal case was sentenced against persons who sold somsas made of donkey meat read here.
It is reported that a person living in the city of Nurafshan slaughtered more than ten donkeys and was engaged in selling their meat. He was arrested while trying to sell 200 kg of donkey meat to a citizen in Tashkent at a price of 20,000 UZS per kilogram.
The buyer in Tashkent was arrested while buying 193 kg of donkey meat for 3.8 million UZS. An additional 60 kg of meat of unknown origin was found at his residence. This meat was used to prepare somsas at a fast-food outlet in Parkent.
During the court process, three individuals were found guilty under Section 2 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code: two were deprived of their freedom for 2 years, and the third person received a restrictive freedom sentence of 3 years 8 months and 15 days.
