The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the delegation of leading companies from the United States on June 9, on the eve of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Eric Meyer, the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan Caroline Lamm, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation Brez Bethany, as well as the leaders of "Boeing", "FLS", "Visa", "NASDAQ", "Air Products", "Franklin Templeton", "Morgan Stanley", "Coca-Cola", and many other corporations.

The head of our state noted with great satisfaction that this meeting indicates the growing interest of American business in expanding its activities in Uzbekistan.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of investment and innovative cooperation, the development and processing of strategically important materials, artificial intelligence and digital technologies, modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors with specific projects in mind.

The leaders of the leading companies from the US expressed their gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for the effective operation of investors, and presented their specific proposals and plans.
